Our four beachfront cottages are located in Brewster, Massachusetts, on Cape Cod Bay. We offer private beach access with stunning views and beautiful sunsets. Brewster is on the bay side of Cape Cod, known for its calm waters, wide beaches at low tide, and family-friendly atmosphere.

We have four charming beachfront cottages:

• Captain's - Perfect for families
• Cute Cottage - Cozy and charming with a screened porch on the bluff. The porch is the place to be!
• Beach Haven - More privacy with bay views
• Sunset Cottage - Classic beachfront style

Each cottage has its own unique character while offering the same great beach access and amenities.

Brewster is approximately 90 miles from Logan Airport in Boston, about a 2-hour drive depending on traffic. We recommend traveling off-peak hours (early morning or weekday afternoons) to avoid Cape Cod traffic, especially during summer weekends. Saturday morning can be much longer.

There is excellent bus service from Logan to Hyannis. We collect family and friends at the park and ride in barnstable. Plymouth & Brockton and Peter Pan

Rates vary by cottage, season, and length of stay. Our weekly rates range from $2,100 to $5,500 depending on the cottage and time of year. High season (late June-August) has higher rates than off-season (May, September-October).

Summer Season (late June-August): One week minimum, Saturday to Saturday.

Off-Season (May, September-October): Four(4) night minimum. Contact us to inquire about specific dates.

Booking is easy:

1. Check availability: View our calendar to see open dates
2. Contact us: Fill out the form here or Send us an Email or Call 508-499-8880
3. Sign lease: We'll send you a rental agreement via Google Docs
4. Pay deposit: $2,000 deposit to secure your dates (plus $400 damage deposit for first-time renters)
5. Final payment: Due 30 days before check-in

We accept:

• Checks: Make payable to Byfield Cartway LLC
• Bank transfer/ACH: Coming soon (no fee)
• Credit cards: Coming soon (3% processing fee)

Payment details will be provided in your rental agreement.

More than 90 days before check-in: Full refund minus $200 processing fee

Less than 90 days:

If fully re-rented (same rate/terms) Full refund minus $250 processing fee.

If re-rented for a lower rate: $200 plus the difference between the original rent and the new rental rate will be deducted from the refund. If NOT re-rented: No refund will be issued.

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance for your trip.

Check-out: 11:00 AM

We send detailed check-in instructions 3 days before your arrival, including door codes and parking information. Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request, depending on our cleaning schedule.

All cottages include:

• Full kitchen: Cookware, dishes, coffee maker, microwave
• WiFi: High-speed internet included
• Parking: 2+ spaces per cottage
• Beach access: Private 350-foot beach, just steps away
• Outdoor space: The property is 3 acres with a cape cod lawn (sandy?) for games etc...
• Washer/dryer: Only available in the Captain's cottages

Important: Linens and towels are NOT provided. Please bring your own bedding and towels, or rental services are available locally.

Some beach items like chairs may be available, but we recommend bringing your own beach towels, umbrellas, and toys. The beach is right outside your door, so it's easy to bring whatever you need!

Yes! All cottages have high-speed WiFi. Perfect for remote work, streaming, or staying connected during your vacation. Network name and password will be provided in your check-in instructions.

Brewster offers something for everyone:

• Beaches: Cape Cod Bay beaches with calm waters, perfect for families
• Nickerson State Park: Hiking, biking, kayaking on freshwater ponds
• Cape Cod Rail Trail: 25-mile paved bike path
• Brewster General Store: Historic store and local favorite
• Restaurants: Fresh seafood, family dining, ice cream shops
• Museums: Cape Cod Museum of Natural History
• Golf: Several courses nearby

Beach Haven cottage only: One pet allowed during off-season (May, September-October) with a $200/week pet fee. Pets must be well-behaved and house-trained.

All other cottages: No pets allowed.

Please contact us before booking if you plan to bring a pet.

Due to the Bay, the Cape is late to warm in the Spring, and late to cool in the fall.

Summer (late June-August): Warmest weather, best for swimming, but most crowded and highest rates

Fall (September-October): Bruce's favorite! Beautiful weather, fewer crowds, lower rates, some foliage, 'Brewster Blue Days'

Spring (May-early June): Mild weather, very quiet, great for relaxing getaways

We're closed for the winter season (November-April).

Yes! Cape Cod Bay has calm, gentle waters perfect for families with children. The bay is shallow and warms up nicely in summer. At low tide, you can walk way out on the famous Brewster flats - sometimes up to a mile out! This unique tidal flat experience is one of the most memorable aspects of Brewster. The beach is much calmer than the ocean side of the Cape.

Our private 350-foot beach is located near Saint's Landing Beach on Byfield Cartway.

UPS, Amazon, BJs, and FedEx know about us and you can use your cottage address. USPS does not serve the cottages, so send C/O Bruce Caldwell, 67 Byfield Cartway, Brewster, MA 02631
